This page is for articles that are too long to put in the Prairie Dawg, news that is too urgent to wait until the next issue comes out, and links.
The “Members’ Links” are to your own website(s) – the only rule is that the website has to be yours. The “Member-Recommended Links” are to other websites you would like to share with the members. Commercial sites are fine; affiliate links are fine; and you can put a business website in “Members’ Links” as long as the business belongs to you.
There is (for now) a limit of 20 recommended websites per member (so we don’t wind up with 5,000), and we won’t include links to pornographic (so-called “adult”) sites, sites that promote hatred for any ethnic or religious group, or sites that encourage an illegal activity. Other than that, anything goes: if you like it, share it!
Please send news, articles, and links to ndmensa@valkyriepub.com. Thanks!

Regional
Scholarship Chair Erin Koffler writes:
Got Scholarships?
The
Mensa Foundation and its team of Mensans in 80 Local Groups across the country
recently announced the winners in the 2005-2006 scholarship program. Awards
included $58,600 given to 140 recipients. Winners are working on various
degrees from associate to doctorate. Scholarships are awarded on the basis of
an essay contest.
Planning
for the 2006-2007 scholarship program is already underway. If North Dakota
Mensa were to participate, we would have the opportunity to award at least one
$300 scholarship to a North Dakota student through this program. Wait, you say.
We can award a scholarship and the money doesn’t have to come out of our
treasury? That’s right! We do, however, need a brave soul willing to be the
Local Scholarship Chair. That person arranges for publicity for the program,
lines up judges, receives and prepares the essays for judging, tallies results,
and sends the results on to the Regional Scholarship Chair. Local Group
Participation Forms are due August 1. Contact Brian Tinker if you want to
volunteer.

more information, see http://www.mensafoundation.org and click Scholarships.
